Two GP practices were joining together in a deprived part of Leeds and needed a new building to house the enlarged organisation. Their previous attempts to develop a new building had stumbled due to lack of a site. Abstract’s wider development connections rapidly established an available site already earmarked for development by Bellway and Leeds City Council. Abstract acted throughout for the GPs, who were to be the building owner, negotiating the acquisition of the site and securing NHS Business Case approval. The new building houses the enlarged practice, a pharmacy and expansion space for practice and community use in 1,350 square metres of space, with 60 car parking spaces. Abstract managed the development process through to successful occupation in late summer 2014.
