The new surgery at Eaglescliffe provides enhanced space for both the existing practice, together with expanded facilities for the PCT - provided services.
The practice had been trying for a number of years to develop a new building, but land availability and cost were prohibitive. Abstract quickly arranged for high-quality, temporary accommodation across the road and work on the new facility has now been completed. The development of new premises, which house the existing partnership of General Practitioners and offers a wider range of both GP and PCT services for over 8,000 patients in the local community, has been fully supported by the North Tees Teaching Primary Care Trust. The project was included in the PCT Estate Strategy as a primary care development priority and has had overwhelming public support throughout the development process.
The new building includes a spacious GP surgery with accommodation for GPs nurse practitioners, healthcare assistants and related clinical staff as well as a PCT community clinic with group spaces for activities such as parent and child sessions and meeting/training spaces including a library and group room.
